This prestigious event is held each year to celebrate the people who dedicate their time to work towards improving and growing the City of Melbourne.
This year Professor Jayashri Kulkarni has been recognised in the category of ‘contribution to the community by an individual’.
After a comprehensive selection process from an independent panel, Professor Kulkarni was one of four people to be a selected as a finalist in her group.
This accomplishment demonstrates the level of enthusiasm and devotion she has towards improving the quality of life for people living with a mental illness, and for their families and carers. This award acknowledges the work she does campaigning for improved services within the community, and recognises her tireless involvement in educating and training the wider community about mental illnesses and novel treatment options.
